BERNIER/ELIADES GALLERY PRESENTS THOMAS SCHÜTTE

16.11.2024 - 4.03.2025

The artist’s work always spans a vast range of materials, techniques, and forms, making it feel fresh and ever-evolving. For this superb exhibition at Bernier/Eliades, Schütte presents a series of new pieces that dive deep into his personal, cultural, and political exploration.

His art is a mix of contradictions, beautifully blending influences from ancient Greek and Roman statues to modernist and postmodern architecture.

Moving away from minimalism, Schütte’s work embraces narrative and figuration, using material and color to express things words can’t. At its core, his work reflects on the human figure in its socio-political world, possibly questioning art’s place in everyday life.
